Corrective Pruning
Pruning is an essential part of good health care for trees and other plantings, discouraging disease and other problems caused by the invasion of pests.
It also enhances appearance, promotes proper growing characteristics and reduces potential risk to persons and property. Corrective pruning will help trees and shrubs adapt to their surroundings and improve and beautify the entire area. Well-maintained plants sustain and increase property values.
Our professionals follow the American National Standard for pruning ANSI A300 and all estimates will specify a minimum or maximum diameter branch size to be removed during pruning operations. In addition, we will establish objectives for pruning, whether to mitigate a potential hazard, or maintain the health and beauty of the tree.
Our pruning types include:
- Crown cleaning- Selective removal of one or more of the following: dead, dying or diseased branches, weak branches and watersprouts
- Crown thinning- Selective removal of branches to increase light penetration, air movement and to reduce weight
- Crown raising- Removal of the lower branches to provide clearance
- Crown reduction or shaping- Decrease the height and/or spread of a tree.
- Vista pruning- Selective thinning of framework limbs or specific areas of the crown to allow a view of an object from predetermined spot
- Crown restoration- Improves the structure, form and appearance of trees which have been severely headed, vandalized or storm damaged.
