Core Aeration

Core aeration is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your lawn. Those thousands of 2 inch plugs of soil will enrich your lawn and encourage it to become stronger and healthier.

Aeration can:

  • Improve air circulation
  • Encourage deeper and broader root growth
  • Improve water uptake
  • Improve fertilizer uptake
  • Reduce soil compaction
  • Accelerate thatch breakdown

Most lawns, but especially urban and suburban lawns, benefit from an annual aeration. If your lawn surrounds a new home where the soil was likely compacted during construction, or is on a heavy clay soil, it may also benefit from more frequent aeration. Aeration can be done in the spring or fall. Call us to schedule your aeration so that it maximizes your fertilization program.
